An analysis based on Capital500 data revealed that OMSAN stands out in the logistics sector for its operational efficiency, generating approximately TRY 12.3 million in revenue per employee. Ergun Arıburnu, Chairman of the Board of OMSAN, said: “Size is measured by how much business you do, while strength is measured by how efficiently you do it. At OMSAN, we see growth as the ability to create greater value.”
OMSAN, an OYAK company, has marked another significant achievement. Featured in Capital500, which ranks Türkiye’s 500 largest private companies, OMSAN achieved one of the strongest operational efficiency performances in the logistics sector, generating approximately TRY 12.3 million in revenue per employee, according to an analysis based on publicly disclosed revenue and employee figures of logistics companies.
The results reflect not only OMSAN’s financial performance, but also the success of its business model, built on years of investment in digitalization, integrated logistics, process management, human capital, and a culture of continuous improvement.
The Capital500 analysis also provides valuable insight into the evolving dynamics of competition in the logistics sector. Today, a company’s true strength is determined not only by the volume of products transported, the scale of operations managed, or the size of its revenue, but also by how efficiently and sustainably that scale is managed.
“The Real Competition Will Be in Efficiency”
Ergun Arıburnu, Chairman of the Board of OMSAN, emphasized that in the new era of the logistics sector, efficiency will be just as decisive as scale.
Arıburnu continued:
“Size is measured by how much business you do, while strength is measured by how efficiently you do it. At OMSAN, we do not see growth simply as transporting more products or generating higher revenue. For us, real growth means creating greater value by using our human capital, technology, operational capabilities, and financial resources more intelligently.”
Pointing out that revenue per employee is one of the tangible outcomes of this approach, Arıburnu noted that this achievement is underpinned by a shared culture of collaboration embedded throughout OMSAN.
“This result is the collective outcome of the efforts of our colleagues, our investments in digitalization, our integrated logistics capabilities, and our culture of continuous improvement. We do not view efficiency merely as a financial indicator. For us, efficiency means bringing people, technology, and operational capabilities together to create value toward a common goal,” Arıburnu said.
Arıburnu stated that OMSAN is also building its future around an efficiency-driven growth model: “Today, competition in the logistics sector is no longer defined solely by the number of vehicles, warehouse capacity, rail operations, or the overall scale of operations. The real competition lies in the ability to manage all these resources in the most effective way within an integrated system. This is precisely where the value of digitalization, human capital, and operational discipline comes into play.”
“Every Investment Should Ultimately Create Greater Value”
Noting that OMSAN’s integrated structure, spanning digital transformation, rail transportation, automotive logistics, warehousing, and international operations, provides the company with significant scale, Arıburnu emphasized that this scale can only translate into a genuine competitive advantage when combined with efficiency.
“We have a very clear benchmark for OMSAN’s journey ahead: every step we take, every investment we make, and every process we develop must ultimately create greater value. This is why we use technology. This is why we invest in our people. And this is why we continuously improve our operations,” Arıburnu said.
“We Are Preparing Today for the Competitive Landscape of the Future”
Emphasizing that OMSAN’s goal is not only to meet today’s logistics needs but also to prepare today for the competitive landscape of the future, Arıburnu concluded:
“The logistics company of the future will not be the one with the most resources, but the one that uses its resources most intelligently. This is exactly where our focus lies as we prepare OMSAN for the future. We will continue working toward an OMSAN that is more efficient, makes more effective use of technology, is more integrated, and is stronger on an international scale.”
OMSAN continues to place operational excellence at the heart of its business model through investments in digitalization, integrated logistics solutions, AI applications spanning both office and field operations, robotic process automation, and its expanding international operations. By advancing scale and efficiency together, the company aims to further strengthen its competitiveness, extending from Türkiye to regional and global markets.
