OMSAN Logistics was preferred for the logistics operations to be carried out within the scope of the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be held in Antalya under the hosting of Türkiye. In addition to the international transportation of materials and equipment to be brought from abroad to Türkiye for the conference, the company will manage all transportation operations within the 1 million-square-metre event area.

This comprehensive responsibility undertaken in the logistics processes of COP31, one of the world’s most important international organisations, demonstrates OMSAN Logistics’ operational competence and its capability to manage the logistics processes of large-scale organisations.

The World’s Climate Agenda Will Meet in Antalya

The 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP31, will be held in Antalya between 9 and 20 November 2026.

The conference, which will bring together countries from all around the world as well as United Nations organisations, intergovernmental organisations, civil society organisations and representatives of the private sector, will be one of the most important gatherings of global climate diplomacy.

At COP31, which will be attended by representatives of states and governments, ministers, heads of delegations and international stakeholders, critical issues such as global climate action, climate finance, adaptation to climate change, just transition and pre-2030 climate targets will be discussed.

Demiralp and Tansık Evaluated COP31 Preparations

OMSAN Logistics General Manager Ahmet Tansık met with Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Burak Demiralp in Antalya as part of COP31 preparations. During the meeting, the preparation process for the conference and the logistics operations to be undertaken by OMSAN Logistics were evaluated.

Demiralp, who is responsible for the operational and logistics processes of COP31, including venue management, and Tansık made evaluations regarding the international importance of the organisation, the critical role of logistics and the future of sustainable transportation during the meeting.

OMSAN Logistics General Manager Ahmet Tansık evaluated the preference for OMSAN Logistics within the scope of COP31 as an important indicator of the trust placed in the company’s operational strength and rising success performance.

The responsibilities to be undertaken by OMSAN Logistics within the scope of COP31 will not be limited to international transportation. OMSAN will carry out the transportation to Türkiye of the materials and equipment to be brought from abroad for the conference. In addition, we will also manage all transportation operations within the 1 million-square-metre event area. Thus, we will assume responsibility for a broad operational chain extending from international transportation to logistics movement within the event site.”
