OMSAN Logistics is expanding its long-standing partnership with Doğuş Otomotiv through a new supply chain model that now includes operations at Port Yarımca, one of Türkiye’s largest automotive ports. This strategic move takes OMSAN’s vision of integrated, digital, and sustainable logistics in the automotive sector to the next level.
The partnership between OMSAN Logistics, a member of the OYAK Logistics Group, and Doğuş Otomotiv, one of the leading players in Türkiye’s automotive market, continues to evolve through an expanded operating model. At Port Yarımca—recognised by Japan’s NYK with the “Occupational Safety and Damage-Free Operations” award—OMSAN aims to transform the finished vehicle logistics services provided to Doğuş Otomotiv into a fully integrated logistic model.
Through this integrated model, OMSAN further strengthens its position in the industry by aiming to deliver an end-to-end solution encompassing port operations, inventory management, and value-added services in the new phase of the partnership.
Diğdem Liga: “We Are Transforming Our Operational Strength into an Integrated Model”
Drawing attention to the evolving needs of automotive logistics, Diğdem Liga, Automotive and International Offices Group Director at OMSAN Logistics, states:
“As OMSAN and Doğuş Otomotiv, two well-established companies operating under Türkiye’s leading business groups, we continue to strengthen our long-standing partnership in line with evolving customer expectations and operational requirements. With the model we have implemented at Port Yarımca, we are going beyond transportation services by integrating port operations, vehicle storage, handling and distribution within a single structure. This approach enhances operational efficiency and service quality while providing our customer with greater speed and flexibility.”
Port Yarımca-Centred Operating Model
Under the new operating model, OMSAN will provide Doğuş Otomotiv with a comprehensive range of services at Port Yarımca, home to the largest covered vehicle storage facility among Türkiye’s ports as below:
- Provide services within a 40,000-square-metre covered vehicle storage area,
- Manage vessel discharge operations
- Coordinate vehicle dispatch preparations as part of terminal operations
- Provide additional storage capacity through its bonded warehouses connected to the same customs authority, in addition to the port facility,
- Carry out vehicle transfers between the port and OMSAN’s bonded warehouse facilities and perform vehicle handling operations across both sites.
OMSAN Sets a New Standard in Automotive Logistics
As part of this strategic transformation, OMSAN is strengthening its position not only as a transportation provider, but as an integrated business partner delivering end-to-end solutions. The centralised management of the entire process—from port operations to dealer delivery—sets a new benchmark for speed, quality, and cost optimisation across the industry.
In line with the OYAK 2030 vision, OMSAN Logistics continues to create value for the automotive sector through integrated, digital, and sustainable logistics solutions, while further strengthening its position among the preferred logistics providers on a global scale.
